CPOA Year 6 Transition 2021

Welcome from the Principal

Cliff Park Ormiston Academy is a 11 to 16 mixed comprehensive based in Gorleston, in the heart of Great Yarmouth.

Tam Poulter CPOA Principal Cliff Park has a highly aspirational ethos, based on our core values of ‘Discover‘, ‘Create‘, ‘Thrive‘ and ‘Achieve‘. These are the names of our four academy “Communities” and are the key traits that we want our young people to embrace as life-long learners and adults. By combining the hallmarks of a traditional secondary education with a vocational and pastoral curriculum, relevant to contemporary life and future employment, everyone in the building works hard to make sure that our students can enjoy a highly successful education.

Our aim is to serve our community, taking excellent care of every student by nurturing their individual strengths and interests. We have an excellent team of staff and wonderful students that give the academy a positive and caring atmosphere. As part of Ormiston Academies Trust (OAT), we are encouraged to strive for excellent standards and to continue to improve in every area, collaborating with the other OAT academies, where appropriate.

Ofsted Celebration

Academy’s success confirmed as Ofsted rates it ‘good’ with ‘exceptional’ features.

The senior leadership team were praised by inspectors as being “passionate about improving all aspects of the school so that all pupils receive the very best education.” The report highlighted their “relentless efforts to improve pupil outcomes” and noted that this had indeed led to continuing higher standards.
