Exam Results 2016
As a result of high quality teaching, learning and assessment across the curriculum, the academy consistently achieves excellent GCSE results.
This is highlighted by the fact that our students have attained above the national average for 5A* – C grades, including English and Mathematics since the academy opened in January 2014.

High grades were also common, with a quarter achieving three or more A*/A grades. A fifth of students achieved the full EBacc Award, a rise of six percentage points from last year.
Outstanding individual success stories included:
- Abdu-Allah Awad – 6A* and 6A grades
- Jodie Donovan – 5A* and 4A grades
- Shannon Clack – 4A* and 5A grades
- Megan Murray – 3A* and 6A grades
- Kiaya Jones – 2A* and 9A grades
Value Added indicators have consistently placed the academy in the top 20% of secondary schools nationally. We currently have the highest Progress 8 result of any mainstream academy in Great Yarmouth and came 6th out of 102 secondary academies in the Norfolk area. This clearly demonstrates the success of our innovative curriculum and represents the high levels of progress that our students make in a wide range of subject areas.
All our Year 11 students successfully enter further education, employment or training. We congratulate them on their achievements and look forward to ensuring that all our future students realise their full potential.
