Thank you for taking the time to learn more about our academy.
Based in Gorleston, in the heart of Great Yarmouth, Cliff Park Ormiston Academy is a vibrant and happy place. Our students are a fantastic group of young people, supported by a wonderful team of staff who are committed to ensuring continuous improvement in a positive “can do” culture. This mix creates an academy that is a pleasure to work and learn in, with examination results that place us amongst the most successful secondary schools in the country.
Cliff Park has a highly aspirational ethos, based on our core values of ‘Discover‘, ‘Create‘, ‘Thrive‘ and ‘Achieve‘. These are the names of our four academy “communities” and are the key traits that we want our young people to embrace as life-long learners and adults. By combining the hallmarks of a traditional secondary education with a vocational curriculum, relevant to contemporary life and future employment, we provide an excellent quality educational provision for young people in the local area.
The University of East Anglia, Great Yarmouth College, Access to Music and Nexus Engineering work with us as strategic partners, providing our students with fantastic opportunities. Our dedicated staff also offer a vast array of enrichment activities, particularly in the areas of Sport and the Arts. Coming to Cliff Park means getting great results but is also about making new friends and having fun along the way!
As part of the Ormiston Academies Trust family, we are wholeheartedly committed to serving our community and have an ambitious goal to become a ‘world class’ academy, based on the highest expectations of academic achievement and personal development. We genuinely believe that all young people have the potential to succeed and actively support a strong home-academy partnership. Whatever the abilities, talents and needs of your child, together we can create an inclusive academy, where they will feel safe and secure, enjoy and achieve.
This is a great time to come and study at Cliff Park and I would encourage you to visit to see what we have to offer; the future is filled with excitement and you will be afforded a warm welcome!
With kindest regards
Ms T Poulter
